If you're already wondering “what's a doomby?”, then you should probably read the first post, titled “What's doomby, and how do I use it to make a website?”. To save you some time, the ultra condensed version of that post is: doomby's a free website builder, and you can use it to make a website (funnily enough). As in, make your own website, about stuff that interests you. For free.
So what, exactly, can you do with doomby, and how is it going to help you to create a website?
It's not a difficult question to answer, but whenever I try to explain something slightly more complex than “how to put on a hat”, I try to think how I would explain it to my mother.
Not that I'm some sort of Norman Bates-type, as far as I know. I've never even worked in a motel. It's just that if I've always thought that if I say something my mother would understand, then I figure any other literate English-speaker would probably understand too.
For the benefit of my mother (and everyone else), here's an idea of what you can do with doomby:
doomby will do all these things (except turn your computer on) - and more -, for free. It's an entirely online, easy-to-use DIY website builder and free website hosting solution. You can use it to make a personal, community or company website. It's entirely up to you how you want to use it, and all the tools you'll need are already online (you don't have to download or install anything).
And just in case you missed that part, doomby is free (as in, it doesn't cost anything, in any currency). Though you will have to bring your own computer.
